Inside the Ropes at the Men's and Women's Opens!

"It's always fascinating to have an insider view of the challenges of putting on a major championship tournament. Here are a few informal snapshots I grabbed inside the ropes at Merion and Sebonack..."

L-R  US Open at Merion Golf Club - Tiger on the 6th; Crowds Gathering; The Media Center; the famous 11th hole where Bobby Jones completed his Grand Slam in 1930; me with Arnold Palmer (what an honor!); fans seeking autographs.  US Women's Open at Sebonack Golf Club - play on the first day on these exquisite links; TV cameras and blimp; me (blue shirt) discussing data with Jeff Hall, USGA Managing Director, Rules & Competitions.
