January Tip for Owners and Managers: Is your course unaffordable?

January Tip for Owners and Managers: Is your course unaffordable?

Have you ever considered that even courses with very low green fees might be unaffordable for many players? This is because every potential player for your course, or any course, has three currencies to spend when choosing where to play, and Money is only one of them. The others are Emotion and Time.

If your course has a reputation for slow play and long round times, a player will think twice before spending his or her Emotion currency: "I’m not going to play on a course that makes me stand around waiting to play every shot, and then be in a rotten mood when I’m done. It’s not worth it to me!” Likewise, players will be reluctant to invest their precious Time currency: "I better not chance a slow day there. I've had round times anywhere from four and a half to five and a half hours at that course. The kids have a 3:00 soccer game, so you better play without me."

So, course Owners and Managers, if you think these conversations might be happening when people consider your course, here's an affordability question for you. Is it affordable for you to continue losing what could easily be turned into loyal customers?

With the right management approach and training that we provide, you can grow your business by making your round times faster, more consistent and more affordable by any currency. Click here to find out how!
